Ingredients:
Toor dal 1 cup
Methi leaves chopped 1 1/2 cups.
Mustard seeds 1 tea spoon.
Cumin seeds 1tea spoons.
Turmeric Powder 1 tea spoon.
Asafoetida pinch.
Green or red chillies 2-3
Curry leaves few.
Salt to taste.
Oil 1 table spoon.
Water as required.
In a pressure cooker take oil, add mustard after it splutters, add cumin seeds.
Add chillies and curry leaves followed by asafoetida.
Saute, add dal and methi leaves.
Add salt, turmeric powder, and water.
Pressure cook three whistles.
Serve hot with roties or rice.
